            Brow Lane and then left onto Johnson Road. Johnson Road is a

This cabin was started in 1997 as a labor of love. Everything about it reflects quality:
    the logs, the foundation, the  construction details. When the owner was transferred       
     in the fall, we purchased it
, unfinished,  to add pine floors, kitchen and bath, a second
    
bedroom, deck,etc.
Old Virginia Log Cabin. 6" X 12" Eastern White Pine hand hewn tongue and groove            
       logs with rough cut yellow pine trim. Entry of Post and Beam construction featuring
     hand carved acron posts.
576 square feet on the main floor; 288 square feet in the loft; 576' square feet in the          
       full basement, including 10' X 13.5 foot study/bedroom with spruce paneling and large
       cedar panel closet.

Covered deck extends the length of the cabin and overlooks the valley below. Additional   
   open deck down below on a rock ledge overlook.

Foundation and full basement, engineered by Reward Wall Systems, is a concrete-filled     
          styrofoam block system which is a strong and highly energy efficient building            
          system.

24' X24' main floor. 24' X 12'  sleeping loft.  24' X24' heated basement  with                         
      study/bedroom, large cedar panel closet, laundry area, and utility/shop area.

Yellow pine flooring, yellow pine counters. Insulated glass windows and doors.

Tile shower and bath floor.

Heating/air - new 2 1/2 ton Rheem unit; large enough to serve a bed room/bath                  
       addition. Jotul wood heater, a Norwegian top-of-the-line cast iron stove which is a        
       necessity in case of power outage..The house can be easily heated with the wood       
       stove.

Appliances: GE range and hood, dishwasher, refrigerator, and stacking                              
       washer/dryer. Elger kitchen sink, toilet and bath tub.

On site well- good water and lots of it.
Septic tank.

USES of this log cabin:
  
 Acorn Ledge Lodge would be the ultimate vacation cabin, or small home. In addition, it
would make a very desirable weekend rental cabin that could be listed with a service in
the area, or by owner.
