Silhouettes in Light
"Silhouettes in Light" by Iron Age Crafters, Inc. is a collection of chandeliers, sconces, hat
and coat racks, fire place inserts and napkin rings designed and  crafted by Harriet DeWitt
O'Rear and Steve O'Rear in their Lookout Mountain studio. The silhouette designs reflect
the interest of the O'Rears in their surroundings and in the flora and fauna that they have
met along the way. The products are award winning functional art works.
Nature of the Product
Harriet draws the silhouettes on AutoCad software. The designs are then translated to and
cut by laser from 16 gauge steel.
Steve rolls, shapes and welds those metal images into the functional art works depicted on
this website.  A commercial powder coat finish is baked onto each piece for long term
durability.
